From 91 North
(Coming South to Hartford)
Take Exit 35 Wilson - So. Windsor - Route 291. Turn right at end of
exit. Continue West on Wolcott Avenue (Route 218) for 1.5 miles, passing
Mount St. Benedict Cemetery on left. At that intersection, cross Blue
Hills Avenue/Route 187. Follow Route 218 about 2.5 miles. Turn right
onto 189. Go to center of Bloomfield, cross Route 178. At the next
light, turn right onto Winstonbury Avenue. Sacred Heart is on the left,
less than 1/4 mile.
From I-91 South (Coming North to Hartford)
I-84 West (coming from East of the River - Manchester). On I-91 in
Hartford, take exit for I-84 West. On I-84 West, take Exit 48 - Asylum
Avenue. Turn right at end of exit (traffic light), keeping to the right
of statute of little girl in hand. Pass insurance companies, Woodland
Street and Hartford College for Women. At the next traffic light, turn
right on Scarborough Drive. Turn left at end (traffic light - Albany
Avenue - Route 44). Get in the right lane and turn right at next traffic
light (Bloomfield Avenue - Route 189). Follow 189 to center of
Bloomfield cross Route 178. At next light, turn right onto Winstonbury
Avenue. Sacred Heart is on the left, less than 1/4 mile.
From I-84 East (Coming from New Britain/Farmington/West Hartford)
Take Exit 41 - South Main Street. Follow South Main, cross Farmington
Avenue (West Hartford Center) which becomes North Main and Route 218.
Cross Albany Avenue (Route 44 -Bishop's Corner). Follow Route 218 to
Route 189. Turn left onto Route 189 and go to center of Bloomfield,
cross Route 178. At the next light, turn right onto Winstonbury Avenue.
Sacred Heart is on the left, less than 1/4 mile.
From Hartford
I-84 to Exit 44, Prospect Avenue North, right at end of Prospect onto
Albany Avenue, first left onto Bloomfield Avenue. Go past University of
Hartford to stop light in Bloomfield Center, then take the first right
in front of white Congregational Church. Sacred Heart is 200 feet on the
left: large modern church set back from the road behind parish house.
