Good Samaritan Ministry

The Good Samaritan ministry is one that serves the elderly, the sick, homebound and their caregivers. It is a CALL to the Sacred Heart family to serve Christ by serving the needs of others. This includes:

• Being a companion to the sick or homebound and to do whatever that would bring a bright spot to their daily routine.
• Taking or making call to them and for them, requesting/sending cards or notes from family members that live a distance or cannot for some reason be with them but who want to know how they are doing.
• Visiting parishioners in need who are in nursing homes or rehabilitation facilities who may have limited or no family.
• Providing a short respite for the caregiver of the patient so that he/she can have time to themselves.
