About Baptism
Congratulations on bringing a child into your family and into our parish. We wish you and your family many blessings. In keeping with Catholic teaching, we encourage you to have your child baptized as soon as you are able.
Requirements to Be a Godparent
A godparent must be at least 16 years old and have received the Sacraments of Baptism, Communion, and Confirmation. There may be one or two godparents—one male and one female. At least one sponsor must be Catholic; the other may be a baptized Christian.
Scheduling the Baptism
The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated on Sundays. To arrange a Baptism and a preparation class, please contact the Parish Office ✉ sacredheartblct@gmail.com 📞 860‑242‑4142.
